A Little Autumn In August?

I love this little gray cloud in front of the big white fluffy one. A sign of weather to come?
Well, Sunday certainly brought a dark day and wild, thundery storms. This is early afternoon!

Autumn is certainly in the wind, as the apple trees are heavy with fruit and these early Jersey Macs are ready to be turned into sauce or a lovely, comfy crumble.
We even got to enjoy corn from our own garden this year.

Some skillet meatloaf to go with that corn? Our day ended with a movie and cozy PJs, in August!! Where did the summer go?
