Today Ronna and her sister drove out this way for a visit and a trip to nearby Merrickville. You can never go wrong in Merrickville. Lots to do and see and good food too. Today we went to Gad's Hill for a light lunch of soup and yummy bread. Then after a little wandering we stopped at the "Downtowne Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe."
They make their own ice cream from the freshest ingredients and have some of the most unique flavours around, like garlic ice cream and brown bread ice cream. It's all good too!!
Their Gelato are fabulous too. Today I tried the Forest fruit with a little lemon on top.
Here Ronna models a fresh off the iron homemade waffle cone. Can you just taste it? We did some window shopping and stopped at the usual places. It was a great day out. Fab weather, and great company. What more can you ask for?
