A New Addition to the Family

This is "Birdie". A few weeks back I placed a want ad looking for an old dressmaker's mannequin. There was no response and then on the evening of our grand opening, I got a call from a lady from out of town. She had one she wanted to sell and was going to be in the area in a couple of weeks and would drop it off. She had bought it in 1980 in "Bird-In-Hand, Pennsylvania" which is why she is called "Birdie". I absolutely love it. I even found her original tag tucked inside the neck. For now she is too pretty to dress but eventually she will be put into service displaying vintage items for the shop.
