This is my little collection of Japanese Kokeshi dolls. They were my mom's and when she was clearing out they came to live with me. I love the simple form and yet they are all so different. The whole thing began with a pair of small dolls that my grandmother had. A lot of collections start that way, don't they? The large one in the right hand corner is actually two bowls with a lid. No, I haven't forgotten about the collages. The next couple are on my table waiting for assembly but I have more running around to do today so it will have wait.
