Fun Stuff

Saturday morning, while Joshua and I were putting out the tour signs we made a little detour to a fund raising yard sale. We found a few neat things. Not pictured here are a pair of old green wooden shutters with cool hanging hardware. I love the graphics on the tin noise maker, the green handle on the sifter, the graphic appeal of a number of round wooden embroidery stretchers and the old grater, the not-too-old tin sparrow, the WWII sewing kit, the packages of Colgate soap, the fact that the top of the pump is an old spool, and who doesn't appreciate another place to store your stuff? I will post later on the little petite point manicure kit.
Saturday morning brought Amy Sanders out to do some fun trading for vintage clothing. She has a neat shop in Brockville just off King St. called The Roaring Frog. It has a wide assortment of vintage clothing and other fun finds to inspire you. You must check it out should you be in the area. She's a lovely young woman following her dream and doing something creative to boot. I wish there were a lot more places like that to visit.
