My goodness, last week just flew by. The days pass quickly when they are filled with activity and special company. Denise and I had a good time, catching up, looking at seasonal magazines, baking and shopping. The bird above is a gift from her. It's from Winners. You could not have planned to have it match the wallpaper as well as it does!
We did a little decorating. Early you say? Yeah, most likely. However, when you have a good friend/willing participant, who wouldn't want to decorate- even if Remembrance Day isn't quite here yet? Besides, you cannot be too early in remembering why we have Christmas in the first place.
It's been pretty cold outside. This little village adds sparkle to the back entry.
This year I tucked my collection of bottle brush trees into the dining room sideboard.
Okay, it's true. We even got the tree up. Well, the task of decorating is behind me and now I can wallow in the warm glow of the lights each evening. With the clocks set back, it gets dark pretty early now, so this is a welcome sight.

Now I'm thinking I should just do the whole Christmas thing anyway even though we probably won't be here much. Your place looks beautiful.
