I have spent the last few days going through years of collecting antique and vintage doll clothes and have pulled out what I don't want anymore.
With the cold weather outside, it has been fun pressing and mending these tiny little pieces of childhood. Everything looks so fresh and sweet. I remember making doll clothes from old 1930s and 40s patterns ordered from the newspaper (got those from my grandmother), using scrap fabric from my mom's sewing activities. Later, I went on to sew clothes for myself.
Then, I had three little boys and discovered the local rummage sale. Children's and baby clothes were only twenty-five cents a piece. Most women's clothes were only a dollar. Now that was a bargain. Now I only sew when necessary (like making curtains for the new house, mending, etc.)
With the doll collection greatly reduced, it is time to also reduce the related books. I spent hours reading and researching and learning about my passion so many years ago. They still hold a special place in my heart, but a smaller place in my life now.

Have a great day!
