Saturday morning was warm and filled with birdsong.
There was still a little frozen patch on the pond. I saw our pair of ducks standing on it but they flew away before I could get a picture. Red-wing blackbirds were everywhere!
Our pussy-willow tree is in bud.
Just in time for St. Patrick's day patches of green were popping up everywhere.
These red branches are quite the contrast to their tired-looking surroundings.
The two ice storms we had this winter brought down a fair number of branches from our trees. Nature's pruning.
We cleaned up the yard and things look ready for the fresh greens of spring. This is not normal weather for this time of year, however, we took full advantage of the glorious weekend.
