Turkey Vultures

I was surprised and thrilled to notice three young turkey vultures hanging out on the barn roof.

In the sky were another three flying about.

No carrion here, but we are on their route and frequently enjoy watching them fly over. They cast long shadows. Even the dogs pause to look up.

And then they were gone. I do so enjoy living out in the country!
