To begin, I pulled this old wooden rack from the Milkhouse. I thought it would be fun to turn it into a screen.
I was initially thinking that I would use some vintage sheets as my base however they are a complete set and too lovely to break/cut up.
Then I remembered a lone twin vintage sheet tucked away. Perfect. The percale sheets of today have nothing on the old vintage linens. The weave is so dense on this you can even begin to count threads!
Then I had fun digging through my boxes of trim and chose all the wider pieces as they would be perfect for filling up the space nicely. Narrower trims would have just disappeared in such a large space.
Then I laid out pieces of lace and trim to see how it would look. And then the stitching began.
So, I figure that once I have finally come to the end of this project, there will be definite sings of spring outside! Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day!

Well, this is unique and very lovely I may add. See that sunshine? The snow is melting as we speak! Better get busy. Spring is soon!
That is fab! Was it one of those old hat racks or just one to dry the laundry out?
It looks wonderful! Can't wait to see it in real life.
