Family Journal ~ 1930's

A friend dropped these off over the weekend. A whole box-full of vintage paper!  There were dozens of issues of "The Family Journal" from the mid '30's.  It was published weekly in Great Britain.  They are in well-worn condition but that is just perfect for cutting up and putting to creative use.

                                              Lots of cozy knitting patterns.

                                            Clothing and fashion suggestions too.

Plenty of quack medicine too- I wonder how many "broken-spirited" women mended their broken spirit with these spirits?
                                         Cigarettes never looked more picturesque.

Don't forget the requisite serial novel! Each week a new chapter to look forward to.

Something special for the children in the Christmas issues.  There are also recipes and household hints in each issue.  Lots to play with!  Thanks A!

Oh my goodness, you must be over the moon with this box of goodies. How fun just to explore. What a treat. The wedding dress is unreal. What do you plan to do with it?
