There has been a lot going on around here. The usual daily stuff, with an new student added to our family; this time a young man from Colombia. He will be here for eight weeks.
Marty is off this week but our "vacation time' will be filled with winter prep. stuff and doctor's appointments. Fun. The chickens are growing like crazy. They are even trying out their wings and will perch most anywhere that will hold them.
Some are still in that awkward stage. Growing new feathers is a lot of work!
Marty is finishing up the last bits on the chicken tractor so the birds will have a safe place to scratch about while outside. Odelia and Gumdrop have both checked it out and their only concern is that they cannot get to the chickens.
It was a beautiful Saturday at the market. Busy, busy, busy.
Pink morning skies lead to cold rainy days.
Here's another great shot of pink! Watermelon radishes. Not as spicy as a traditional radish but pretty darn fun to serve and eat! Aren't they cool?
