Girl Time

I have a friend coming to visit from out of town for a few days. It will be nice to have another female in the house! I worked hard to get all the Christmas cards done and in the mail for those who are far-flung. It's always fun to hear from folks during the holidays to see how their year has gone. Some go back to grade school!
Marty says no Christmas tree before the first week of December, so I have begun to decorate with none-tree stuff. I love the look of the old boxes that the glass balls came in and now I can stack them up along with some vintage tinsel, lights and mica snow boxes too.
My husband thought it was high time we~meaning him, gave the kitchen floor a good wash and wax. I considered taking a picture of it but that's really too boring. Suffice it to say, you really can eat off of it! For the moment anyway. Cards and gifts are done! Next the tree and little more baking. Happy holiday preparations to everyone.
