As with many of my pieces, the components for this have been hanging around, staged and ready to be altered and added to as time permits. I had the opportunity to finish this, this afternoon and I am very happy with the results. The body is, I believe, part of an old cash drawer, the nests and eggs are from my shop and the antique doll, Victorian scraps, and other pieces are finds from earlier "thrifting" expeditions. It always feels good get my long-awaited ideas completed. Even better when they turn out as planned.

A New Assemblage

I love how you cradled your treasures in the bird nests, and then fit everything into the old cash drawer. Serendipity that's for sure!
