On our way home from the market we stopped at a yard sale. I had recalled the ad in the paper said "new stuff every hour." Don't you just love the Bakelite beads, wooden bells, and cool buttons. The little Ace of Diamonds up front is a celluloid button!
It was a fun sale full of all kinds of items. This is just some of what came out of a jar of beads and damaged necklaces. The owner of these items was obviously a creative soul as well.
I was so happy to find some bits of millinery. The white and lilac leaves are from Czechoslovakia!
Can you imagine weaving these? The straw is as fine as hair. The little hat is a brooch. I also found a few other bits and pieces but those pics didn't turn out well. At another sale I came across a basket of barn hinges. Rusted to perfection.
