While Joshua was cutting the grass the other day, he came across small jumping things in the lawn. Turns out they were little birds just out of the nest. Good thing he didn't run over them!
Here are two hiding in the tall grass at the edge of the yard. Can you see them?
He brought this little guy in the house to show me. The yellow on his beak is the same as the netting I had just removed from a hat. Tiny fellow. I saw another one hopping about when I put Rosie out last evening.
