A Little Yard Sale Bliss

On my way home from dropping Aaron at the market I happened across a couple of yard sales. The one closest to home had the most wonderful things. Much of their stuff was vintage and old. They had the loveliest old wooden four drawer filing cabinet their, but this caught my eye first. When I got up close to this old dental cabinet and opened a drawer, I immediately smitten! The price right too.

The fellow at the yard sale helped me tuck it into my trunk, where it hung out a fair bit, but home was nearby so I wasn't too worried. Some of the drawers have dividers in them. Isn't that just grand?
Perhaps you are recalling my hubbies request that I not bring home any more large pieces of furniture. Well, it was most amusing to see Joshua (who inherited my red tool box as a result of my find) and Marty so intrigued by the thing that they hauled it upstairs for me as well as all eighteen drawers, and set it up too.
At the back on the top there are two doors that flip up to open and inside are little recessed holes.
Perfect for my embossing powders. No it didn't take any time at all to transfer my stuff from the tool box to the new cabinet. I don't want to think of all the nasty stuff this once held for dental purposes. I'm sure the 1950s were still rather archaic when it came to dentistry.
Joshua has moved his "new" tool cabinet out to his part of the workshop and has been happily filling it with tools, of all things.

I actually experienced a pang of envy reading this post. Wow, you have the eye (or is it the nose) for finding unique stuff and knowing what to do with it.
