I had the good fortune to stay home all day, puttering about in the house. No errands to run. Few interruptions. I made a stack of Pizelles, an Italian cookie flavoured with Anise. You get the lovely design from the special iron you cook the dough in. They are light and delicate with a hint of licorice.
I finally finished a "little" project in the main bathroom. I wanted to freshen up the linen closet so it would be a friendly, fresh surprise every time you opened the door. I had the contact paper for the shelves, and found the wallpaper at Goodwill for $1.50. I used antique eyelet to trim the shelves. Nice and tidy.
Next, the rest of the bathroom will be redone when Marty is up to it after his surgery this Friday.

Mmmmm I think I can smell those cookies.
Looks great. Do you make house calls?
My Italian grandmother made Pizelles every Christmas...my sister has the iron now and continues the tradition.
