I was out today with son number one and after dropping him off at a friend's I stopped at Goodwill on the way home. This pair of
Kokeshi dolls were in the cabinet, where you can find "special" stuff. They looked like ordinary
Kokeshi but they have a secret to share.

I think they are relieved to have found a home with so many other family members nearby. There's always room for one more of these fun, graphically-pleasing dolls.

We are very fond of Russian Matryoshka nesting dolls which are, of course, very similar to these. Those are most unusual Japanese ones!
