Snowy Adventure

Saturday had Marty, Joshua and I off to Balleycanoe for the sink I mentioned earlier. It was snowing in such a lovely light and Christmas-y way when we left. By the time we got there it was an all out storm.
No matter, the roads were pretty much empty and a drive in the country is always nice.
Once there, we did buy the sink we went to see but also took in the wonderful variety of salvaged pieces available.
Inside the dim light of the barn, the outdoors looked so far away and cold.
All manner of interesting objects are available.
I thought these were fabulous. I would love to have seen the porch they came off of. I was trying to think of some way to incorporate some into the new house but haven't come up with anything worthwhile-yet. They look a little like big wrapped candies.
More porch pieces.

I'll get a picture of the sink soon. It was immediately tucked away for safe keeping until the move.
Have a great day!

I found myself wishing I could write a story about these haunting photos, but maybe a poem would work better.
