Yesterday was a clear, crisp winter day. Blue skies, white snow covering the ground. A good day to get lots of stuff done, and so I did. However, I was longing for something a little lighter, and fresher to serve up for dessert. So, to the cupboard for a trusty Angle Food Cake mix, frozen berries and some Dream Whip. Aah, summertime. Warm sun, fresh fruit and the sweet tartness of raspberries.
Used to make the cake from scratch but if you read the ingredients on the box, it's pretty much just what you would put in your own cake, without all the extra work. Tastes almost as good too.
