Here are some pics from one of the first yard sales that Joshua and I visited a few weeks ago. I was most fortunate to come across three boxes of antique linens for only $3. Who can't appreciate the wonderful feel and quality of these utilitarian pieces. Many didn't appear to have ever been used.
There were seven linen towels. A shower gift maybe. I love the old linen towels. Today's dish towels are often made in China, of flimsy fabric which shrinks down to nothing after the first washing. They are rarely very absorbent too. Great sherbet colours on these striped towels.
You just can't beat good old natural fibres.Have a great weekend, Everyone!
