Spring Colour

This lung wort is the first to bloom in my shade garden. I love the spotted leaves. This was taken on May second.
These trillium are from a friend who lives on a wooded lot. Every year I get excited when they open. They seem very happy in this shady spot.

Now things are really blooming! Along the west side of the house where there is no traffic and only wood is stacked, I enjoy happening upon little bursts of green and white. The ferns are spreading nicely now.
