Of Toads And Rain And Gardens

It's been downright chilly lately. However, that hasn't slowed down the birds and plants too much. Well, maybe the toads. They can be found in all sorts of surprising places. As they blend with their environment by changing colour, you never know when you will run into one.
This little guy is staying warm against the stone wall of the Milkhouse.
I found two more, one on top of the man door to the garage. Another on top of the garage door.
This little fellow is always behind the Milkhouse sign on the front of the garage during the day. He's got prime real estate as the light comes on every evening just above- lots of bugs to eat!
We got a bit of a break from the rain yesterday. It was just cold and damp.
My Hostas are making good progress.
The shade garden will be one blanket of green before you know it!
Another hot cocoa day!
Special thanks to Ms. D who came to visit and shop. It was so nice to see you again and meet your sister.
