Brockville -Birthplace Of Our Canadian Flag And The Farmers Market

Near one of the Brockville exits off the 401 there is a great big Canadian flag. It looks great in a big wind!

                              Below, is a plaque telling the story of how the flag came to be.

 It was very foggy in the wee hours this morning but cleared as I got to the Brockville Farmer's market.  Today the weather promised to be exceptional and I was certain the crowds would be out enjoying it and all that the market has to offer.

                                 Just  look at the colour of these heirloom cherry tomatoes.

                              Aaah, the rich colours of fall and all those hardy winter veggies. I hear rumours that there will be carrots, sweet potatoes and watermelon radishes coming along soon.  I can hardly wait!
