A Great Day For Puttering

Yesterday was a most mild November day.  Not too sunny but most pleasant all around. A good day for puttering.

I made some soup with my funky coloured cauliflower.  I also had an orange one to put to use.  I did learn however that as in art, in cooking your colours sometimes turn to mud.  the soup was great but a most unpleasant muddy colour.

We have had rutabaga fries a couple of times now. Easy-peasy, cut your veggie into thin strips, toss with your favourite oil (mine is melted ghee), season, and bake at 400 deg.F for 25 minutes. Yum!

The chickens enjoyed spending the day outside in their "tractor."  They are getting bigger.

I am always charmed by the lovely berries that are so visible on my burning bush once the leaves fall.  Lots of great colour!  I hope you are having a great week too.
