Awaiting Our Student

The days have flown by with all the renovations and preparation that has been going on. Finally, the room is ready to receive its new occupant. Our Korean student is to arrive in the wee hours of Thursday morning. I hope all the snow we have been getting doesn't cause any problems.

We set up this table and chair at the end of the room for homework and other projects. The curtains were a real find at the local Liquidation World. I couldn't have gone to a fabric store and picked a better colour. Sometimes there are good finds there.

This is my studio, still waiting to be relieved of all the stuff that came out of Aaron's room.

Here is a glimpse of the new paint colour and some of the flooring that is getting finished this evening. The lantern above the new archway between the two rooms is actually an outside light but they look really cool on either side of the arch. Aaron has plenty of task lighting so these are perfect, and so much cheaper than regular interior lights. The purple blinds will have to go at some point.

Everything looks great! I love the colour on Aarons walls. I'll hav eto show you the new fabric for K's duvet cover - the green in it looks very much like Aaron's green.

Good luck with your next couple of days as you welcome your student into his new environment.
