Steel

I see this field on the way to the cottage each year. This year I finally got Marty to stop so I could take some pictures. They look like alien sentries standing at attention.

I went with Joshua recently to the steel scrap yard. He was picking up steel for a job he is doing. I was totally taken by the piles around the property. This one, in particular, looked like big silver huts from a distance.

Up close it was a pile of waste metal leftover from stamping washers or something. Kind of like sequin waste.

Next time he returns I will try to get shots of the other piles of metal, some colourful, some rusty...
