Joshua overlooking the Adirondacks in New York, looking back on a lovely autumn.
This was just a few days ago. Brilliant yellows cascading to the ground.
Sunday brought snow, lots of it.
Monday brought more snow. Gumdrop loved it!
I am sure it wont be long before we are thinking about skating on the canal in Ottawa.

The Page Turns As Do The Seasons
I turned the page on the calendar this week. You just know it's September when you look outside.
You know that autumn is around the corner when you wake to cool misty mornings.
The goldenrod creates a yellow border around the property.
Extra warm days, as summer holds on just a little longer. There is a "bee tree" nearby. Here they are "bearding" -cooling down the hive.
Heirloom tomatoes are portrait-worthy.

Signs Of Autumn
You can tell the season is changing again. Seems summer was here for but a moment. Always the way when you are super busy.
I found this great heart shaped potato in my basket from Roots Down.
Crab apples awaiting some sort of recipe from Hall's in Brockville.
My sunflowers are starting to die off and the blue jays are back.
I spotted our resident porcupine in our apple tree.
Always the first tree to begin to change in our yard.
Cool, misty mornings.
